Job and Volunteer Opportunities

Job Opportunity— Nature-Based Occupational Therapist

We are biased — but we are pretty sure we are the coolest place to work for, ever. And we really believe that we are changing the world.

Honestly, the job is not perfect--if you're a pediatric occupational therapist, you KNOW the work can be tough, and the pay isn't always great, BUT wait until you get trained in doing the work OUTSIDE and providing access to children and families who feel at their best outside rather than in the confines of a clinic.

We are truly changing lives and making therapy more accessible.

We respect you as a clinician, so I'll just give you the pros and cons right away:

Cons: This is part-time, and while our hourly rate (60-65/hour for licensed clinicians) is good, you will build a caseload slowly. If you need to support a household, or need healthcare, this job is not going to be for you.

Pros:

We LOVE what we do, we get to be outside with a small group of amazing kids in beautiful Portland.

You get to be part of a growing practice with a niche in Nature-Based Occupational Therapy, Play Therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, and working with neurodivergent children and teens in the great outdoors!

We nurture your growth as a creative, free-thinking therapist. You get to discuss your preferences with us based on your desires for a sustainable caseload that meets your needs.

Hours/Schedule:

Part or full-time, based on your goals as a clinician. One thing that sets us apart and REALLY serves the community is our social groups for neurodivergent kids to work on mental health, social-emotional and Occupational Therapy goals outside together. We hope you have experience working with groups, and would love leading one of these.

Qualifications:

  • OTR/COTA and experience in the field

  • Clinical specialty or certifications in the areas of child and family work.

  • Maintain your own professional liability insurance.

  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) required prior to the start date.

This position is designed to benefit your growth and sustainability as a clinician. We make sure you have:

  • A schedule that works for you.

  • Connection with like-minded clinicians

  • Access to materials, assessments, and supplies needed to perform OT individually and in groups

  • Use our EHR for all your telehealth and scheduling needs, 100% digital intake packets, assessments, and notes, plus HIPAA compliant messaging.
